Why Do You Struggle With Learning Strumming?

A lot of people want to learn strumming patterns on guitar. And that is a great thing to do – with a few chords, and a few strumming patterns, you can quickly start not only learning your favourite songs, but writing your own. However, a lot of people struggle with learning strumming patterns on guitar.

Why is this?

It’s not because strumming is difficult… it’s because they are focussing on the wrong thing.

Strumming rests on having a good knowledge of rhythm. By learning the fundamentals of rhythm, and how it applies to strumming, you will quickly find yourself being able to strum… well, almost anything you could possible want to! Once you understand rhythm, picking up any strumming pattern, or even writing your own, becomes easy.
